TrustEd Journalism Värmland is a research and development project exploring how schools, school libraries, and local media can collaborate on media production. By enabling students to create their own articles, the project aims to strengthen their source criticism skills, understanding of journalism, and democratic participation.

The project also contributes new knowledge about how young people’s own media production influences their engagement in the local community.

During 2026, Voice4You collaborates through hands-on work with the Mobile Stories Newsroom tool, Nordicom, Medier & demokrati, Nya Wermlands-Tidningen, and several primary and lower secondary schools in Värmland.

The goal is to develop a sustainable model for cooperation between schools and local journalism that strengthens young people’s participation in public debate.
