TrustEd Journalism Värmland
A research and development project exploring how schools, school libraries, and local media can collaborate on media production.
Students' voices in NWT
By letting students create their own articles, the project aims to strengthen their source-critical skills, their understanding of journalism and their democratic participation. The project also contributes new knowledge about how young people's own media production affects their engagement in the local community.
The goal is to develop a sustainable model for collaboration between schools and local journalism that strengthens young people's participation in public debate.
As Värmland's largest newsroom, we want to help young people realise how fun AND IMPORTANT journalism is – and also give young people the opportunity to publish their own articles with us.
Breakfast meeting at NWT
On 6 May we invited politicians, business people and experts to NWT's offices in Karlstad. Students from lower and upper secondary school interviewed people who help shape Värmland's future, and the interviews became articles on mobilestories.com and in NWT.

Students' articles on Mobile Stories
Articles written by students in the project and published on mobilestories.com (in Swedish).
